DTM from the crunchfest at Avus in ‘91 has
all of its decos tampo-printed on and sealed
under a clear coat; there’s a full interior with a
mini-Cecotto at the helm, and the BBS wheels
have bright steel brake discs behind them. ;e
delicacy of the tow hooks, glazing, twin-pipe
chromed exhaust and thin cast spoiler make for
a sharp-looking display; if you decide to have
a go on the track, the motor is a rear-mounted
sidewinder that’s geared for punchy accelera-
tion and road courses. Brass axle bushings, a
removable neodymium magnet, and narrow
tires allow for smooth, tail-happy analog driv-
ing; if you run au naturel, a few tweaks—tight-
ening the pickup, and adding some
weight—would do much to keep
the tallish car locked down. Bonus
